I didn’t vote for the SNP, but some of the things they’ve done are hard to argue against – free prescriptions for everyone for example.

There’s something really great about the plot at this time of year. I kind of like it when the site is deserted and the winter showers blow over from the west, forcing you into the shed for 5 minutes, before it’s safe to venture out.

Well, Edinburgh Labour Councillor Andrew Burns thinks so. Now that the Scottish Greens have changed their policy after their recent conference – he thinks the numbers stack up. Shame that control over the voting system used to elect folk to Holyrood is devolved to Westminster.

Today we planted the second batch of winter peas, (pilot) 2 weeks after the last lot which were just starting to peep up out of the ground. We also planted some winter broad beans – which I’ve not tried before so it should be interesting what results we get from those.
